The Thread Vintage is founded and curated by Nikki Sharma, a swimwear fashion designer with years of fashion industry experience, including work for Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco.
Nikki personally hand-picks pieces at auction. Her fashion background informs an eye for proportion, materials, construction and the small details that distinguish a special find. The assortment is intentionally small, and many pieces will not be restocked.
Our authentication promise
Every piece is authenticated before it leaves The Thread Vintage. We never ship a piece that cannot be authenticated.
Authentication is completed after purchase and before dispatch, at no additional cost. Pieces are not represented as already authenticated at the time they are listed. If authenticity cannot be confirmed, we do not ship the piece and refund your order in full.
Entrupy is used for bags supported by its service. Not every brand or item category is supported by Entrupy, so the authentication method must be appropriate to the piece. Our authentication promise applies to every item, including scarves; this does not mean every item is checked through Entrupy. Contact us before purchasing if you would like to discuss the method for a particular piece.
Vintage condition
Our pieces are vintage and pre-owned. Signs of age and use are part of their history. Read each description and condition note, review the full photo gallery and ask any questions before purchasing.
Final sale & authenticity protection
Each piece at The Thread Vintage is vintage, pre-owned and individually sourced. All sales are final, except for our authenticity protection below and any rights you have under applicable law. We do not accept change-of-mind returns, exchanges, or returns for disclosed wear or defects.
Before you purchase
Please read the full product description, measurements and condition notes and inspect every photograph, including details of any defects. Some wear is expected with vintage and used pieces. You are responsible for asking any questions about condition, fit, colour, materials or details before buying. Please contact us if you need additional photographs or information.
30-day authenticity protection
If a piece is proven inauthentic, we will accept its return for a full refund, with no further questions once credible proof is supplied. Contact us within 30 calendar days of delivery with your order number and written evidence from a qualified, independent authenticator or the brand identifying the purchased piece and explaining the finding. A personal opinion or unsupported suspicion does not establish inauthenticity.
We will provide a prepaid, tracked return label and instructions for a proven inauthentic piece. Please wait for these instructions before returning it and include the accessories originally supplied. After receiving the same piece back, we refund the purchase price and applicable taxes to the original payment method, with no restocking fee. For a fully returned order, any shipping protection fee and original delivery charge are also refunded.
Incorrect, damaged or materially misdescribed items
Please contact us promptly if an order arrives damaged, contains the wrong piece or materially differs from its description. The final-sale policy and 30-day authenticity process do not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
